Catherine Loveday

 

Professor of Neuropsychology

 

Catherine Loveday is a Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Westminster and author of “The Secret World of the Brain”. Her research focusses on the functions of human memory and in particular on the way that memories are formed, accessed and lost.

Her most recent work explores the link between music and memory, but she has also published papers across an eclectic range of topics including visual imagination, story telling, memory for museum visits, attachment in adolescents, stress hormones, and swearing. Catherine is committed to encouraging public engagement with science and appears regularly at festivals, as well as writing for the media and making regular appearances on BBC Radio 4’s All In The Mind, Radio 3 Unwind, and many other radio and TV programmes.
